Steam Traps

Equipment designed to eliminate traces of humidity present in exhaust gases before being released into the atmosphere. As a result, they are installed at the end of the exhaust lines.

They consist of an element connecting to the pipe which is generally a flange and a cylindrical or conical-cylindrical body. Inside the body, there are several deflectors or baffles that force the exhaust gases to follow a wriggling path where the particles of humidity are condensed into liquid drops on the metallic surfaces of the vessel. These drops are then drained inside the body of the steam trap.

These elements are usually manufactured using carbon steel, though in special situations they are made of stainless steel or alloy steel.
